Three key elements of Marc Lombard's hull design have created a boat that handles better than any other in the industry:
1 - Hard chine: The full - length hard chine just above waterline creates what is called "form stability" which effectively allows the boat to heel over to only about 15 degrees, a very comfortable heel angle.
2 - Twin rudders: The rudders are angled out at about 15 degrees, so when the boat settles on the chine the leeward rudder is vertical and deep in the water so it is extremely efficient. Steering is light and responsive and the high-strength synthetic steering cables are perfectly smooth and have zero slop. BUT MOST OF ALL... there is only very light weather helm and almost NO ROUNDING UP!! That's right, even when the boat is fully powered up and you get a puff you don't have to fight to keep her from rounding up, she stays straight and goes faster.
3 - The "Scow Bow": Moving back from the slightly reversed stem the bow broadens out and is spoon-bottom shaped at and under the waterline. This creates a lot of reserve bouyancy which keeps the bow up, skipping over chop and waves rather than digging-in.
